A life around the table

I'm Meny. I cook, write, build places, and bring people together. This is a home for all of it.

I grew up in a Moroccan Jewish home in Yeruham, Israel. Food was how people made space for each other. That has followed me through New York kitchens, Montclair restaurants, and the work I'm making now.

I'm a chef, a father, a husband, a writer, and someone who likes to make a table bigger. I've cooked professionally for about twenty years and won Food Network's Chopped twice. But what keeps me going is what happens around the food.
