Made up of only nutritional foods, an appetite for exercise, getting enough rest and keeping yourself away from stress and anxiety, this Paleo diet does not only help you lose weight; it helps you build muscle and regain the energy you’ve been needing to get through your day-to-day existence.

Take note – this is not just your ordinary diet regimen or exercise plan. This Paleo Diet is, in fact, a lifestyle. It takes discipline, willpower and dedication to achieve the results that you want, and finally live your life the healthy and organic way.

Getting Started

This modern nutrition plan allows you to eat the regular amount of intake that you need – but you have to cut out anything “unhealthy” and by “unhealthy” we mean remove the carbs, the sugar, the artificial sweeteners, the sauces, canned goods and soups, packed noodles. Get rid of anything packaged and refined that is riddled with loads of MSG, sugar and unhealthy fats.
Looks a bit much, don’t you think? Not to worry, getting rid of these foods does not necessarily mean you’ll go hungry. On the contrary, you’ll lose the unwanted body fat and still get to eat the regular amount. This time though, you’ll be sticking to lean proteins – chicken, lean beef, turkey, pork loin, and seafood. You’ll also be consuming a lot of vegetables, the greener, the better. Finally, you’ll have your sure of “healthy fats” in unsalted nuts (such as: walnuts, macadamias, pecans, almonds), avocado, olive-oil and the like. Don’t forget to add your fruits, but stick to berries and melons and you should be fine!

Lifestyle Habits

In order for this diet to really work well, kick your bad lifestyle habits down the curb. Start getting 8-9 hours of sleep. Black out your room, get rid of the LED lights, the alarm clocks, keep your phone turned off and stay away from the Internet, computer, and television for at least an hour before you sleep. This should help you wake up refreshed and energized the next day, after getting eight hours of sleep.

Get enough exercise. In order to stimulate the lifestyle our hunter-gatherer ancestors had, move around. Do yoga at least once a day, or go for a walk around the park or run around the subdivision. Take your dog along with you (and we promise, he’ll love you even more for that) or take on a new hobby. As long as you keep your body active, the Paleo lifestyle should kick in and take care of the rest.

The trick is sleep right, eat healthy and build muscle to get that lean and strong physique. Remember, the Paleo Diet is not just an eating plan. It’s a lifestyle.
